2025

The first year of Skatespace ran at about break-even with focus split between building the space and getting the business off the ground. The ramps were finished by November and at the end of the year we took on the lease for the two rear rooms, cut the windows to connect the spaces, poured the concrete countertop, and populated the spaces with an arts and crafts area, foosball table, fingerboard parks, mini basketball hoops, merchandise rack and seating areas.

2026

By February of 2026 the After-School Skate Club user group was up to seventy-five kids, which made for a positive spring. However, things tapered off a bit for summer camps. As of October, we’re up to one hundred and fifteen skate club members and are optimistic for a positive winter, allowing bills to be covered, debt to go down, and take-home pay to go up.

Our monthly expenses for 2026 are considerably higher than 2025 due to elevated rental rates and debt repayment. However, with full skate clubs throughout the winter months we should average 10-15k and will offer many more individual lessons, merchandise, food and beverage and sponsorship opportunities.

We’re also looking into registering the After-School Skateboard Club as a 501c3 which will pay to book space from Skatespace LLC through grant acquisition.
